Editorial take
If your factory already validates everything with Pydantic, this is the agent SDK that will not feel alien. It is not a worker fleet. Structured output is a verification-adjacent habit, not a merge gate.
Strengths
- Typed, schema-first agent loop in Python.
- MIT, model-agnostic.
- Same team as Pydantic, which many backends already depend on.
Limitations
- Library, not a hosted runtime.
- Easy to over-trust structured output as correctness.
- Logfire is optional and commercial-adjacent; listed separately.
