Assessment
n8n fits event and SaaS automation around agent work. Its Sustainable Use License is not MIT, and agent nodes do not turn the workflow editor into a coding harness. Review licensing before embedding it.
Strengths
- Self-hostable automation with many connectors.
- Good intent/orchestration glue for issue and chat triggers.
- Visual graphs support incident inspection.
Limitations
- Fair-code licensing constrains embedding and redistribution.
- No sandbox or merge gate.
