Editorial take
LlamaIndex is listed under orchestration/intent because RAG-shaped context is how a lot of factory work enters the model. It will not run your tests. Do not buy LlamaCloud because you needed a job queue.
Strengths
- Strong data connectors and indexing story.
- MIT library you can run yourself.
- Workflows/agents for teams already in this ecosystem.
Limitations
- Easy to confuse retrieval quality with factory output.
- Cloud vs OSS feature split.
- Not a coding harness or sandbox.
